The tulip tree (Liriodendron tulipifera) is a tall, fast-growing deciduous tree known for its unique, tulip-shaped greenish-yellow flowers and distinctive, lobed leaves. It is native to eastern North America and can reach heights of up to 90 feet (27 meters), thriving in well-drained, moist soils with full sun exposure.
We are growing these from locally collected seed (CAN: 5a / USDA: 4b) to ensure they come from cold-hardy parents.
Seed Source(s): New Brunswick
Hardiness (Canada): Zones 5a, 5b, 6a, 6b, 7a, 7b, 8a [What is my hardiness zone?]

Note that we sometimes trim taller trees down to their described height in order to not have to pass additional shipping costs on to our customers. In our experience this has almost no effect on their growth even in the first year of growth after planting. The ample roots make sure of it!
