Kousa Dogwood

The first time we laid our eyes on Kousa Dogwood flowers, we knew it HAD to be a part of our garden.  Here is a plant that gives you something throughout the entire growing season;  the showy white flowers make their appearance in June/July, followed by the development edible bright red berries that look like they came from outer space.  In late summer through fall the leaves turn bright red.  They can handle full sun or part shade and will max out around 20ft. in height.  Pruning will allow you to control the form and height as desired.

Note that we sometimes trim taller trees down to their described height in order to not have to pass additional shipping costs on to our customers. In our experience this has almost no effect on their growth even in the first year of growth after planting. The ample roots make sure of it!
