Northern Hazelnuts

Harvest your own hazelnuts in 3-4 years!

These seedlings are descended from a mix of open pollinated hybrid American (C. americana), European (C. avellana), and Asian (C. heterophylla) hazelnut parents and produce lovely edible nuts. Plant at least two in the same general area for pollination.

Note that we sometimes trim taller trees down to their described height in order to not have to pass additional shipping costs on to our customers. In our experience this has almost no effect on their growth even in the first year of growth after planting. The ample roots make sure of it!
