Hybrid Hazelnuts (Asian/American Hybrid)

These hybrid Asian/American (Corylus heterophylla x americana) hazelnut seedlings will produce late summer nuts that are much larger than those of our native beaked hazel. Plant at least two in the same general area for pollination.

Note that we sometimes trim taller trees down to their described height in order to not have to pass additional shipping costs on to our customers. In our experience this has almost no effect on their growth even in the first year of growth after planting. The ample roots make sure of it!
